LATERAL THIGH LIFT, BUTTOCK LIFT & MEDIAL THIGH LIFT SURGERY AFTER MASSIVE WEIGHT LOSS IN WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NEW YORK

A lateral thigh and buttock lift is aimed at restoring a more youthful contour to these regions. Excess skin and fat are removed from lax areas and the skin and deeper supporting structures are tightened. It is often done in conjunction with a lower body lift to address soft tissue laxity of the abdomen, lateral thighs and buttock areas. Results can be dramatic. Fat harvested from another region of the body can be transplanted to the buttocks to create a fuller buttock if desired ("Brazilian Butt Lift").

A medial thigh lift (medial thigh plasty) is an operation aimed to improve contours of the medial thigh region through a combination of liposuction and direct excision. Though some times it is done as an isolated procedure, it is typically performed in patients who have had significant weight loss. In these patients, the medial thigh lift is performed as part of a series of operations on the abdomen, thighs, buttocks, arms and breasts to recontour a patient’s entire body. Redundant fat and skin removed from the upper, inner thigh through an incision concealed in a natural crease where thigh meets the groin. For patients with more severe laxity and tissue redundancy, an incision may need to be extended along the medial aspect of the thigh. All incisions are anchored to deeper structures of the thigh to prevent the final scar from spreading (ie a wide scar) and migrating inferiorly. However, for individuals with more severe thigh contour problems, an incision may also be necessary which extends from the groin area along the inside of the thigh down to the knee.

If performed as an isolated procedure, the medial thigh lift can be performed as an outpatient at Dr. Greenwald's Ambulatory Plastic Surgery Facility located in Harrison, New York (Westchester County) where Dr. Greenwald performs the bulk of his cosmetic plastic surgery cases. As with any surgery performed with Dr. Greenwald, you will have a thorough understanding of the procedure before entering the operating room including what you need to do prior to and after the surgery. Medial thighplasty patients are typically seen five to seven days after their procedure. Normal activities may be resumed approximately three weeks after surgery.

Dr. Greenwald understands that the decision to undergo cosmetic plastic surgery correction is an important one. Dr. Greenwald knows the importance of educating you before, during and after the procedure as he firmly believes the most informed patients are also the most comfortable, confident and satisfied patients.
